Employment Condition in the Housing Industry
Employment is decreasing in the real estate sector, housing and construction sectors. According to Turkish Statistical Institute (TUİK), the building input index data has been announced for the January-March period. According to TUIK’s January – March data, employment in the construction business approximately decreased at the rate of 3.5 percent in the first quarter while the number of hours worked has decrease at the rate of 3.6 percent in the same period.
According to the data, seasonally the adjusted construction deploy index diminished in the ratio of 3.5 percent in the first half of 2017 compared to the previous half. The schedule of construction employment index also rejected in the ratio of 12.6 percent compared to the same half of the previous year.
Wage and Salary Index in the Real Estate Business
The real estate sector salaries are very unstable. You can earn minimum 2000 TL for one month, but there is no limit at the maximum value of the money. Seasonally the adjusted gross wage and salary index decreased in the ratio of 0.4 percent in the first quarter of 2017 compared to the previous quarter. The calendar-adjusted gross wage and salary index increased at the rate of 1.1 percent compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
